Service · Managed IT

MANAGED IT FOR NYC SMALL BUSINESS.

Network design and install, business Wi-Fi, edge security, cameras, and door access, all on one platform, all managed from one dashboard. Brooklyn-based, serving all 5 boroughs.

Why It Matters

Most "IT problems" are really network problems.

"The Wi-Fi keeps dropping." "Our cameras are offline again." "We can't print." "I can't access the file share from the back office." Nine times out of ten, when a NYC small business calls us with an IT issue, the underlying cause is a network that was put together by whoever was available at the time, mismatched gear, daisy-chained switches, consumer-grade Wi-Fi being asked to handle business-grade traffic. The "IT problems" stop showing up when the network is designed properly the first time.

That's what Managed IT is for. One partner who designs your network, installs it, secures it, and keeps it running, instead of three separate vendors and a tangle of dashboards. You get the peace of mind of in-house IT, without the headcount cost.

What We Deliver

Everything that touches your network.

Network Design & Install

Site survey, coverage map, switch and gateway selection, VLAN plan. Built for how your business actually uses the network, not a generic template.

Business Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi 7, Wi-Fi 6E, and Wi-Fi 6 access points sized to your space. AI-tuned RF so devices roam cleanly between APs, no dead spots in the back office.

Switching & Cabling

Managed PoE switches that power phones, access points, and cameras. Clean cable management. Pair with structured cabling for new buildouts.

Edge Security

Built-in firewall, VPN server for remote access, intrusion prevention, and content filtering at the network edge. SD-WAN available for multi-site.

Camera Systems

4K and 8MP cameras with on-site video storage, AI-powered detection (person, vehicle, package), motion zones, and remote viewing from your phone. No recurring cloud-storage fees.

Door Access & Entry

Modern access control, mobile app, NFC card, PIN code, or facial recognition. Integrates with the camera system on the same dashboard.

Multi-Site / Remote

Multiple locations on one cloud dashboard. Site-to-site VPN configured automatically. Centralized user and policy management across the whole network footprint.

Network Segmentation

Separate VLANs for staff, guests, IoT devices, cameras, and voice traffic. Containment if one network gets compromised. Often required for PCI compliance.

Branded Guest Wi-Fi

Captive portal with your branding, optional terms-of-service acceptance, time-limited access, separated from your business network. Common for hospitality, retail, medical.

Ongoing Remote Management

Firmware updates, monitoring, troubleshooting, and adjustments as your business grows. Quoted monthly based on the size of your environment.

Platform

We standardize on enterprise-grade networking hardware that runs license-free, pay once for the equipment, manage it forever. Same family covers Wi-Fi, switching, security gateway, cameras, and access control on one cloud dashboard. If you already own networking gear that's reasonably current, we can usually work with it; we'll tell you honestly when something should be replaced versus when it can stay.

How It Works

From site survey to fully managed.

01

Site Survey

We walk your space, measure coverage, identify dead spots, check existing cabling. 30-90 min on-site for a typical office.

02

Network Design

Within 2-3 days: a written design with AP placement map, switch/gateway selection, VLAN plan, and a fixed quote on hardware + labor.

03

Install

Cabling (if needed), AP and switch installs, gateway setup, camera and access-control mounting. We coordinate with your building's COI requirements.

04

Configure

VLANs, guest Wi-Fi, security rules, camera setup, access-control credentials. Tested end-to-end before we hand it off.

05

Self-Manage or Managed

You self-manage with documentation, or we keep managing it for you, firmware, monitoring, adjustments. Either way, the dashboard credentials are yours.

Managed IT FAQ

Common questions before signing.

What's included in your Managed IT service?

Network design and installation (Wi-Fi, switching, gateways), edge security (firewall, VPN, content filtering), optional cameras and door access on the same platform, multi-site / remote-office support, and ongoing remote management, firmware updates, monitoring, and adjustments as your business grows. We scope each engagement based on what you actually need, not a generic monthly bundle.

What does it cost?

Hardware scales with the space: a small office might run $1,500-$3,000 in equipment (gateway, switch, 2-3 Wi-Fi access points). A larger multi-floor office runs $5,000-$15,000 depending on coverage, cameras, and access control. Labor is quoted per scope based on the cabling complexity. Ongoing management, if you want it, is a separate monthly fee based on the size of your environment.

Why use a Managed IT partner instead of hiring in-house?

For most NYC small businesses under 50 employees, in-house IT is overkill, you don't have enough work to justify a full-time salary, but you do need someone who can answer the phone when the Wi-Fi drops. A Managed IT partner gives you that without the headcount cost. You also get a wider skill set than any single hire could provide, networking, security, cameras, phones, internet, all from one relationship.

Do you handle cameras and door access too?

Yes. We deploy cameras and door access on the same network infrastructure as your Wi-Fi and switching, one platform, one dashboard, one technical relationship. That gives you a single place to manage your business's connectivity, surveillance, and physical access. It's one of the biggest practical benefits of running a unified Managed IT stack versus three separate vendors.

Do you do ongoing management, or just the install?

Both. After install, you can self-manage (we hand you admin credentials and full documentation), or we can keep remote management on your behalf, firmware updates, monitoring, and adjustments as your needs change. Managed service is quoted monthly based on the size of your environment. Most customers start with self-managed and switch to managed once they realize the time it takes.

What networking platform do you install?

We standardize on enterprise-grade Wi-Fi and networking hardware that runs without per-device or per-feature license fees. Same family covers Wi-Fi, switching, security gateways, cameras, and access control, one cloud dashboard for the whole stack. We can also work with whatever hardware you already own if it's reasonably current; we'll tell you honestly when something should be replaced versus when it can stay.
